Abstract
This study focuses on Victor Vlad Delamarina’s poetic beginnings and tries to explain the linguistic code switching – the dialect spoken in Banat and the literary language. Some items belonging to everyday reality (and defining the writer’s individual ″habitus″) were displaced in poems according to a particular ″aisthesis″ (aesthetic taste) that was deeply integrated in ethos. Delamarina’s choice to write poetry using a dialect may be motivated by a bunch of converging aspects, including a way to fight for linguistic authority. Therefore, the dialectal poems are meant to magnify their prometheic echoes – brought about by the refusal of poetic tradition – and finally add the power of acknowledgement that their linguistic code (supposed to be marginal from both political and poetic points of view) has not achieved. Following Paul Ricoeur’s theory on identity and Judith Harris’ research, the paper tries to see the way in which social anxieties reflect on Delamarina’s poems and how writing becomes an outstanding attempt to cure a traumatic identity or to rebuild a fragmentary self.
Résumé
L’article enquête les débuts poétiques de Victor Vlad Delamarina, en essayant d’expliquer l’alternance des codes linguistiques abordés par l’auteur: le dialecte du Banat et la langue littéraire. Divers aspects de la réalité quotidienne, partie intégrante de son habitus individuel (si on reprend la terminologie de Bourdieu), sont translatés dans des paroles selon un aisthesis (comme inclination esthétique et de goût) intégré, à son tour, à l’éthos. L’option de Victor Vlad d’écrire une poésie dans le dialecte du Banat peut être justifiée par un ensemble d’éléments convergents, y compris une forme de lutter pour l’autorité linguistique. À cet égard, les paroles en dialecte du Banat doubles leurs insertions prométhéennes opérées par le refus de la tradition poétique culte, en les ajoutant la qualité de légitimation d’un code linguistique conçu comme périphérique non seulement du coté littéraire, mais aussi politique. Mais le cumul des préconditions sociales n’exclut pas les effluves de sa propre subjectivité. Sur la direction de Paul Ricoeur et des recherches de Judith Harris, on peut suivre la façon dont les angoisses sociales transparent dans les poèmes de Delamarina et on entrevoit une tentative de guérir les traumas (identitaires) par l’écriture – tout aussi comme on peut décrypter le zèle de l’autoconstruction. Rezumat Articolul investighează începuturile poetice ale lui Victor Vlad Delamarina, încercând să explice alternanţa codurilor lingvistice: graiul bănăţean şi limba literară. Diverse aspecte din realitatea cotidiană, incluse în habitus-ul său individual (dacă preluăm terminologia lui Bourdieu), sunt translatate în versuri potrivit unui aisthesis (ca înclinaţie estetică şi de gust) integrat, la rândul lui, în ethos. Opţiunea lui Victor Vlad de a scrie poezie în graiul bănăţean poate fi justificată printr-un mănunchi de elemente convergente, inclusiv ca formă de luptă pentru autoritate lingvistică. În acest sens, versurile în grai bănăţean îşi dublează inserţiile prometeice operate prin refuzul tradiţiei poetice culte, adăugându-le calitatea de legitimare a unui cod lingvistic conceput ca periferic nu numai din punct vedere literar, ci şi politic. Pe linia lui Paul Ricoeur şi a cercetărilor lui Judith Harris, se urmăreşte modul în care anxietăţile de natură socială transpar în poeziile lui Delamarina şi se întrevede o încercare de vindecare a traumelor (identitare) prin scris – aşa cum se poate decripta şi râvna autoconstrucţiei.
