Abstract
The realization of the Great Union on December 1, 1918 made Astra’s main goal to be realized. In the years that followed, Astra’s reorganization began so that the new program would meet the requirements of the Romanian society. In this period an important role was played by the leader of Arad, Vasile Goldiş, who, through collaboration with important personalities of cultural or scientific life, such as Ioan Lupaş, Silviu Dragomir, Axente Banciu or Iuliu Moldovan, was involved in solving the problems faced by the Transylvanian Astra, being also an important supporter of the modernization of the Romanian society. The Aradan leader supported the association’s involvement in social and cultural activities, considering that the creation of the national state must also ensure social progress.
Résumé
La réalisation de la Grande Union le 1er décembre 1918 a fait que l’objectif principal d’Astra soit réalisé. Dans les années qui ont suivi, la réorganisation d’Astra a commencé pour que le nouveau programme réponde aux exigences de la société roumaine. Vasile Goldiş, le dirigeant d’Arad, a joué un rôle important dans la résolution des problèmes rencontrés par l’Astra Transylvanien en collaborant avec d’importantes personnalités de la vie culturelle ou scientifique telles que Ioan Lupaş, Silviu Dragomir, Axente Banciu ou Iuliu Moldovan, en étant aussi un important partisan de la modernisation de la société roumaine. Le dirigeant d’Arad a soutenu l’implication de l’association dans les activités sociales et culturelles, considérant que la création de l’Etat national doit également assurer le progrès social.
Rezumat
Realizarea Marii Unirii în 1 Decembrie 1918 a făcut ca obiectivul principal al Astrei să se realizeze. În anii care au urmat a început reorganizarea Astrei astfel încât noul program să corespundă cerinţelor societăţii româneşti. În această perioadă un rol important l-a avut liderul arădean Vasile Goldiş, care prin colaborarea cu importante personalităţi ale vieţii culturale sau ştiinţifice, ca Ioan Lupaş, Silviu Dragomir, Axente Banciu sau Iuliu Moldovan, s-a implicat în rezolvarea problemelor cu care se confrunta Astra transilvăneană, fiind totodată şi un important susţinător al modernizării societăţii româneştii. Liderul arădean susţinea implicarea asociaţiei în activităţi sociale şi culturale, considerând că prin crearea statului naţional trebuie să se asigure şi un progres social.
