ASPECTS OF EUGENIU SPERANTIA’S CONTRIBUTION TO
THE DEVELOPMENT OF LAW PHILOSOPHY

Abstract
As a law philosopher, as a sociologist, as a logician, anthropologist, axiologist and writer
belonging to the national culture Eugeniu Sperantia has brought an exceptional contribution in the
above stated field especially through the creative revaluating of the elements belonging to the
universal culture in the undertaken multidisciplinary analysis-all guided by the everlasting values
of the humanity and rationalism. The author of the article synthetically presents some of
Sperantia’s bright ideas in law and state philosophy such as: the relation between law and society
from the historical and structural view, the genesis and law functions, types of legal standards and
their acknowledgement, the sense of improving the legal institutions from the historical view,
applying the judicial power in correspondence with the idea of justice and fairness. At the same
time it is presented Eugenius Sperantia’s contribution to the development of the logic of questioning
and of the possibilities of using it in realizing the act of justice.
