Abstract
Poetry, household and family, along with the two children, were the most important things in the life of the poet.
The verses on the world of childhood, that of ‘beans’ and ‘crumbs’, are gems of playful lyrical poetry in our literature.
Arghezi rediscovers the sublime, the majesty in the tangible world.
These verses are cherished and easily learned by children, broadening their cultural horizons.
