Abstract
The following essay is a brief presentation of the artistic work of one of the best Romanian poets. His poems have overcome the prejudice of some critics and became an important poet, a poet of sensibility, a poet of emotion, soul and inner feelings. His religious poems has reached the readers sensibility, through visual images, metaphors, innovation of the poetic language, bringing the religious vocabulary as it’s main feature. The essay is a parallel between the Bible’s Psalms and the Psalms written by Tudor Arghezi. His religious poems are not a prove of the Divine existence, but it registers the pulsations of the human soul when facing loneliness , when facing the need of a helping hand. One of the oldest struggles of the humanity is discovering the truth about the existence or non existence of God. Tudor Arghezi is not revealing the obsessive answer of thousands of years, he is revealing perceptions, wonders, doubts, believes, in a few words, a variety of feeling when it comes to confronting with this existential question.
