Abstract
The purpose of the article is to underline some aspects regarding the translation of T. S. Eliot’s „The Waste Land” into Romanian. Being a complex and contradictory text, its translation into Romanian rises some language problems. The article refers to two literary translations, that of Ion Pillat and Aurel Covaci.
