Abstract
During the International Conference at the European Parliament, Professor Aurel Ardelean, PhD, presented the paper entitled “The European Union Strategy for the Danube Region. The Durable Development of Hydrographic Ecosystems in the Western and Central Area of Romania”, which was done in accordance with the provisions of the Treaty of Lisbon, regarding the economic and social cohesion, extended to the territorial component so that, in the future, regional specificity and characteristics would be taken into consideration in establishing strategic possibilities at the level of regional communities and investments.
