Abstract
Gala Galaction was one of the Romanian writers who was influenced by the religious feeling, being in the same time a clergy man and a human with passions and sorrows. His most important belief was in the power of the human soul to be able to confront the sin and to achieve the eternal life. Although he was a controversial personality, his work is considered as a landmark for the Romanian literature.
