UNDISCOVERED FACTS IN THE HISTORY OF LITERATURE: THE PROTECTOR AND THE UNEXPECTED MAN BY TUDOR ARGHEZI

Abstract
The history of Romanian literature does not mention anything related to unpublished works of the poet, novelist and publicist Tudor Arghezi. A small part from the manuscript of an unpublished text written by Tudor Arghezi (Patronul – The Protector) was published in 2005 in a volume containing his articles which appeared in different newspapers and magazines between 1933 and 1940. The manuscript is the draft of a novel he intended to write. The novel was meant to be dedicated to the industrialist Nicolae Malaxa, a friend and protector of Tudor Arghezi. In 2007 the editor Gheorghe Pienescu published in Romania literară the rough copy of a novel that Tudor Arghezi also intended to write, The Unexpected Man.
