Abstract
The following novels “How the Soldier Repairs the Gramophone”(1999) and “Why the Child is Cooking in the Polenta”(2006) are written by two authors (Aglaja Veteranyi and Saša Stanišić), who have left their country of origin as children. In this paper by using these two novels will be examined what role the country of origin plays for the self-image of the individuals who are moving between different cultures.
Zusammenfassung
„Warum das Kind in der Polenta kocht“ (1999) und „Wie der Soldat das Grammofon repariert“ (2006) heißen die Romane zweier Autoren (Aglaja Veteranyi und Saša Stanišić), die ihr Herkunftsland als Kinder verlassen haben. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird am Beispiel der erwähnten zwei Romane untersucht werden, welche Rolle das Herkunftsland für das Selbstverständnis des zwischen verschiedenen Kulturen sich bewegenden Individuums, wie auch es die beiden Ich-Erzähler der Romane sind, spielt.
Rezumat
Următoarele romane „Cum repară soldatul gramofonul“ (1999) şi „De ce copilul găteşte mămăliga“ (2006) sunt scrise de autorii (Aglaja Veteranyi and Saša Stanišić), care şi-au părăsit ţara de origine pe vremea când erau copii. În această lucrare prin aceste două romane se va examina ce rol a avut ţara de origine pentru imaginea de sine a indivizilor care s-au mutat între două culturi.
