Abstract
The present paper seeks to emphasize the necessity of communicative strategies of translation in the case of three notions which belong to the Generative Grammar framework: strong features, Heavy Shift, „Tough” Movement. The study comprises a two-step approach of the issue: firstly, an explanation of the grammatical phenomena designated by these three notions; secondly, possible translation solutions for Romanian.
