Abstract
The book of the highly distinguished Prof. Dr. Francisc Schneider is a sequel of his five essays series, started in 1998. ”A Childhood Under Three Regimes (Mosaic Evocations)” ”carves an overtime fresco” of western Romanian life and society as seen through the eyes of a boy and wisely sculpted along time by the talent of a man. The volume is structured in the following chapters: Prologue, Genealogy, Before the war (1933-1941), War and dictatureship (1941-1944), Return to freedom (1944-1948), Epilogue. The book is highly educative, (indirectly) evoking the benefits of upbringing, education and the continuous developing in family and community, in school and society.
The lesson of ”Childhood Memories in the 21st Century” – Francisc Schneider is a spur to achieve respect, dignity, trust and hope.
