Abstract
The present article („Ambiguity as a form of the freedom of speech”) proposes a research meant to underline an essential characteristic of the Japanese language and culture: ambiguity. We believe that any type of exploration, be it cultural or linguistic, should start from ambiguity as a dominant feature of the Japanese cultural and linguistic code.
